    Great tale Uncle Les, I remember growing up in Denmark Street during the late 60’s. As you know half of my mum’s “Colony” the Alty’s lived in Denny. We were moved to Thornton when the Street was due to be knocked down and it just wasn’t the same.

      We used to live in Denny from late 50s to late 60s
      We got moved to maple close maisonettes in Seaforth
      Still have many great memories
      Mums mum and brother and sister lived their too
      ( Bennett’s and fesseys )
      Used to play in the jigger at the back of Denny and in St. John’s church
      Went to St. John’s school from 1966/1969
